Carolina Casas Forga is Spanish and Swiss citizen.

She is the co-founder since 2020 of Sangha Capital, a Venture Capital Firm investing in purpose driven technology companies, alongside Bill Tai and her sister Berta.
‍
Working so many years in Finance helped her realize thatcapital flows do have an impact on defining the future. Herinterest in technology and impact investing brought her thewillingness to bridge this gap.

She holds a Bachelor in Business Administration as well as a Master inFinance. For the past 14 years, she has worked in wealthManagement. From Citi Private Bank (where she received theGlobal Excellence Award given by the global CEO), to MultiFamily Office in Stonehage Fleming.Carolina is the European partner for the Blockchain ResearchInstitute.

Bill Tai

Co-Founder and Venture Partner

Bill Tai is a Venture Capitalist, Educator and Athlete. He is Founding Chairman Treasure Data (now the Data Science division of ARM / Softbank), is a Board Director of Bitfury, and a seed investor in Canva, Wish and Zoom Video where he was 1st committed backer.

He established the West Coast office of CRV and was previously a General Partner at IVP. He has had 22 of his early stage companies grow to be listed companies thus far, and has served on the board of directors of 8 publicly listed companies that grew from his portfolio.

Early in his career, he was issued badge #A001 at TSMC (NYSE:TSM), now an over $200B (market cap) world leader in the chip industry. He held marketing roles in the early years of LSI Logic, a foundational company in Silicon Valley formed by the CEO of Fairchild Semiconductor, and established the semiconductor practice for Alex.Brown & Sons, driving IPOs of Atmel,

Adaptec, Cirrus Logic, Dallas Semi, Exar, Zilog. Later he was founding CEO of iAsiaWorks (IPO via Goldman Sachs & Morgan Stanley) and founding Chairman of IPInfusion (Tokyo:48130).

Originally trained as a computer chip designer (BSEE w Honors, Illinois), he later earned an MBA at Harvard and was granted a PhD from Curtin University where he is an Adjunct Professor focused on "Innovation and Economic Development".

He Chairs ACTAI Global - a 501(c)3 uniting Athletes, Conservationists, Technologists, Artists & Innovators - supporting environmental conservation efforts and a co-founder of 501(c)3 Extreme Tech Challenge supporting economic empowerment via entrepreneurship. He is cofounder / curator of Necker Blockchain Summit, co-founder WestTechFest , and driving force for the technology platform for 2030 Vision.

Berta Casas Forga

Co-Founder

Berta Casas Forga is a Spanish citizen living in Switzerland.

She co-founded Sangha Capital in 2020, a Venture Capital Firm investing in purpose-driven technologies, alongside her sister Carolina and Bill Tai.

Prior to this, she worked in the trust industry as well as the educational field, both in Switzerland and Spain. She holds two Bachelor's degrees, one in Psychology and one in Education, with a specialization in the Multiple Intelligences Methodology.

She also led an initiative to fundraise for the construction of a school in Ethiopia.

Her passion lies in the field of Educational Tech. She thinks that education needs to be disrupted and reimagined as it is the foundation of our entire system.

Berta believes that through technology we can scale impact and improve some of the challenges our world is facing.

Damià Tormo Carrulla

Co-Founder and Venture Partner

Managing partner and co-founder of Columbus Venture Partners, Damià has spent the last 20 years working in healthcare and the biotech industry. He has been focusing on biotech and life sciences creating and developing companies since 2010. In 2015, he started a venture capital management company that has €235 M under management through three funds.

Damia founded several biotech companies such as Highlight Therapeutics, Artax Biopharma, Viralgen (Viralgen/Askbio acquisition by Bayer for $4B on Dec 2020), Vivet Therapeutics (option by Pfizer up to €540M on March 2019), Polypeptide Therapeutic Solutions (Adquired by Arcline on April 2021), Tyris Therapeutics (partnership with Almirall) or Radioterapia de Protones (option by Quiron Salúd/Fresenius).

From 2010 to 2013 he was CEO of Highlight Therapeutics, an oncology clinical stage drug development company and from 2013 to 2016 CEO of Artax Biopharma Inc. Damia is Director of Artax, Highlight, Sanifit, Tyris, Algenex, Syngoi. Moreover, Damia is the President of Fundación Columbus / Columbus Children Foundation, a non-profit organization that develops advanced therapies for children with cancer and ultra-rare genetic diseases.
